# Scrooms.app Privacy & Local Data

Canonical: https://scrooms.app/privacy/
Edition/review: 2026-10-12
Independent guide. Game information is source-reported, not independently play-tested.

See how Scrooms.app stores progress in your browser, handles JSON backups and uses normal hosting requests. Review contact options and third-party links.

## Your notebook stays in this browser

The tools use the local storage key scrooms.field-notes.v1 for your manual checklists, song bookmark and catch log. No Roblox password, session cookie, user ID, email address or account access is needed. This data is not uploaded by the supplied site code.

You can export your notes as JSON, restore a supported backup, or erase this site’s local notes from [My progress](https://scrooms.app/my-progress/). Exported files remain on your device until you delete them yourself.

## Normal website requests still exist

Opening a page sends a request to the hosting provider. Depending on the provider’s configuration, security and access logs may include network address, requested path, time and browser information. The website code does not control the host’s retention policy.

Search queries and tool inputs are processed locally. A search query is placed in the browser URL for usability; do not enter private information. Following an external link makes a separate request to that service.

## No ad or analytics tracker is enabled

This release does not include advertising scripts, analytics beacons, external fonts, third-party cookies, embedded social feeds or account registration. Adding any of these later requires a new privacy assessment and notice.

## Correction reports are not silently submitted

The correction worksheet creates a local text file. It is not an upload form. A contact mail link appears only when the operator configures a real address; your email application then handles transmission under its own settings.

## Use with younger players

The supplied tools do not request personal profiles or enable public chat. Avoid entering identifying information in local notes or reports. A parent or guardian should review any external community links and platform eligibility rules.

## Deployment and operator responsibility

The deployed operator must maintain an accessible contact method and disclose the actual hosting provider, retention settings and any additional data collection. This release does not invent those details before a hosting account exists.

No operator mailbox is configured in this build. The correction worksheet does not send messages.
